Welcome to Codespotter!
Codespotter provides news and opinions about consumer mobile services, with a focus on services that are available to United States mobile subscribers just by texting a keyword to a special short mobile number (called a short code). Text messaging (or SMS messaging) is one of the fastest growing and most universally accessible forms of mobile communication and interaction. Thousands of well-known brands are using short codes and text messaging to promote their products, often by sponsoring text-to-win sweepstakes, offering text-based mobile coupons and discounts, and providing special information services. But lots of otherwise savvy consumers don’t know about all the ways that they can use text messaging. So Codespotter and our sister site, Code.com are dedicated to spreading the word by finding and reporting on the best in mobile text offers.
